Co Antrim trainer Roy Wilson recorded his second winner in as many days (Flemross won in Down Royal yesterday) as his aptly named Seriatim (means one after another) took the Kids Go Free Maiden Hurdle over 3m under Chris Cully.
The 7yo son of Oscar, who won a point-to-point at Toombridge last October, was reverting back to maiden company today having finished twelfth in the race won by Archie Meade at Fairyhouse on Easter Sunday.
Before that, the 108 rated gelding, had finished third in three races, two maiden hurdles and a hurdle.
Having opened this morning at a general 14/1 (16's in a place) he was well supported and opened on track at just 8/1 (the price he was returned). Are Ya Right Chief for Willie Mullins & Ruby Walsh was sent off the 5/6 favourite but he couldn't quicken with the winner who hit the front at the second last and kicked on from there, staying on well to score by two and a quarter lengths. Whispering Hills for Dessie Hughes & Bryan Cooper, who opened on course at 11/2 and was backed into 7/2, ran on to take second while Are Ya Right Chief was a neck back in third.
