Already the dam of two foals, Omakase made the breakthrough on her 14th start in the concluding Find Us On Facebook @dundalkstadium Handicap.

Trained by Joseph O'Brien as a juvenile and out of action for nearly four years, she ran a cracker to finish fourth on her return at Bellewstown in October.

Starting off for Paul Fahey at the Co Meath venue, she finished fifth on her next two starts, before disappointing when last seen in early December.

Down to a career low mark of 48, the Power seven-year-old was returned at 16/1 this evening, stepping up in trip to a mile and a half for the first time.

Settled in mid-division by apprentice Darragh O'Sullivan, the Bobby's Dream Syndicate-owned bay made steady headway on the nearside from early in the straight.

Ridden to challenge over a furlong from home, she soon edged left but was quickly straightened up and battled on gamely to the line, just getting the better of Dromore Glory (11/4jf) by a neck.

There was another length and three quarters back to Nusra (8/1) in third, with Someone's Wish the other joint favourite, finishing down the field.

"She bred two foals," Fahey revealed.

"She was idle this year, so we said it would be handier to go racing and win a race than have her idle in the field.

"The step up in trip did actually work. The young lad gave her a lovely ride, in fairness to him.

"She's a peevish mare, but she tries."
