Oaks on agenda for Akdarena The success of front-runners continued in the Listed Salsabil Stakes at Navan as Akdarena scored under Davy Moran. The Jim Bolger-trained filly had her rivals in trouble from two furlongs out and galloped on strongly to score by two-and-a-half lengths from Dazzling Day. The second was demoted to third after a Stewards Enquiry found she had caused interference to Unity. David Wachman's charge, who had been beaten just a short-head in third after meeting trouble in running, was given the runner-up spot. "He said she's entered in both Oaks and he'll see how she comes out of this and take it from there," said Bolger's travelling head lad Ger Flynn after phoning his boss. "She stayed and galloped really well and loved the firm ground." "It was a funny race to weigh up as there wasn't a single piece of firm ground form," added Julian Lloyd, representing winning owner Kirsten Rausing. "She stays well and will get a mile-and-a-half."
