Jamada opened his account at the third attempt when getting the better of a protracted duel in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race at Naas.

The John Queally-trained gelding and 8/11 favourite Ifallgoeswell drew clear from their rivals under two furlongs out and fought out a tremendous battle.

Jamada just proved the stronger inside the final 150 yards with the Alan O’Sullivan-ridden 5/1 shot prevailing by half-a-length. Times A Wastin took third spot a further eight and a half lengths back.

O’Sullivan said, “He’s a lovely horse. Fair play to the lads as they had him in great nick.

“It means a lot to ride a winner for John Queally as he was very good to Michael, and they had luck together down through the years. I was delighted when he rang me at declarations, and it’s worked out well thank God.

“He probably wasn’t doing a whole pile in front but he’s game to the line and is a lovely horse for the future.

“I’ve had a good few weeks. I’m getting great opportunities, riding for really good people, and I’m very lucky really.”
