New Kid In Town (9/2 into 7/2) made all to comfortably land the Midland Breeders Supporting Kilbeggan Beginners Chase under Katie O'Farrell.
Gambled-on joint favourite Ocean Glandore went second on the run-in, but he had no chance with New Kid In Town, who was ridden clear after two out before keeping on strongly for a nineteen length verdict.
Ocean Glandore's fellow market-leader, Seven Nation Army (mistake fourth) weakened before three out to finish last.
Katie O'Farrell explained: "I've ridden him out at Willies and go in there a few times a week. He's the sort of horse that fights you if you fight him so it's best to let him go along in front and trust him. I've ridden point-to-point winners but that's my first winner over fences as a professional."
Patrick Mullins meanwhile stated on behalf of his father, winning trainer Willie: "Katie has ridden winners now for Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins so it just goes to show the calibre of trainer she is riding for. She's as good a value for 7lb as anyone in the country.
"She did exactly what she was asked to do, and hopefully she can follow in the path of Rachael Blackmore and ride many more winners.
"The owner, Simon Wilson, is from England, and this is great reward for all the patience he has shown."
Patrick accepted the top trainer award at Kilbeggan this year, on behalf of his father Willie.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Seven Nation Army, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
R.A. Doyle, rider of Ice Ice Baby (GB), trained by F.Oakes, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount dwelt at the start and lost some ground.
