O'Brien and McDonogh double up with Clemmie C Clemmie C readily justified favouritism in the fillies' maiden over an extended mile in Killarney to bring up a quick-fire double for Joseph O'Brien and Declan McDonogh. The Churchill filly travelled well from third to hit the front over a furlong out and was soon given the office to win her race by McDonogh in a race that wasn't dissimilar to how the first panned out (won by O'Brien's Rubio Draco). She increased the lead racing past the furlong pole and was pushed out to prevail by a length and a quarter at 13/8 Lizzy's Filly took the runner-up berth at 3/1and was three lengths clear of Zawahir (11/2). Assistant trainer Brendan Powell said: "She leans left-handed, I don't know what it is - her head is up in the air but he (McDonogh) said she travelled sweetly. He said once he kicked, she was never going to stop. "If you go back to her first ever run, it was a great run and she has her maiden win now. "Hopefully, she might go and follow up and you'd have to look at getting black-type as she is well bred. You'd give her a go if there was a Listed fillies' race and you'd never know."
