O'Callaghan aims for more National Hunt gains

Michael O'Callaghan saddled a National Hunt winner at Navan on Saturday and is eyeing further opportunities in that sphere with Sinngali who holds an entry in a bumper at Thurles on Thursday.

Positive Energy obliged in the opening maiden hurdle at Navan and was part of a lucrative 24 hours for the trainer as Athlumney Warrior scored at Dundalk on Friday evening and Michael Scofield made a winning debut at Southwell on Saturday night.

He said of unraced Gleneagles gelding Sinngali: "He is a five-year-old that we got in the middle of last year and he goes well enough.

"He's had a little run around in a schooling bumper in Naas and, if he gets in, he might run okay. He is 11 on the ballot."
