Joseph O'Brien completed a double in the juvenile maidens at Galway when Tribal Nation (6/4) took the Corrib Maiden under Dylan Browne McMonagle.

Runner-up on his previous start at Gowran Park, the Wootton Bassett colt tracked the leaders and loomed up alongside market rival Mississippi River (5/6 fav) on the home turn.

Taking that one's measure a furlong out, he stayed on well to score by a length-and-a-quarter for owners Teme Valley and Newsells Park Stud Ltd.

Browne McMonagle said: "He is a gorgeous horse, is a big boy who is still learning. He travelled well, quickened up really well and had a little look when I got there but he is a gorgeous horse.

"I was a bit far back the last day in Gowran and had a lot of ground to make up but coming back to seven (furlongs) suited him today and it was a good race. He showed a good attitude on the ground in the last furlong and I think he is a nice horse who will only get better.

"Hopefully he has a good future ahead."
