Noble Four lords it at Cork Noble Four and Wayne Lordan nailed topweight Foot Perfect and Colm O’Donoghue right on the line to win by the minimum margin in Cork’s six furlong handicap. Lordan got a sustained run out of the unexposed three-year-old gelding at the business end to land the spoils by a short head at odds of 5/1, backed in from 6/1. He had three runs in maiden company before venturing into a handicap at Down Royal last time to finish fourth. Winning trainer Willie McCreery said: “He ran a lovely race up north [Down Royal] last time. “The extra furlong and dropping down in grade suited him. “Wayne gave him a super ride and did everything perfect. He is a persuasive little man!” The consistent Foot Perfect (4/1) was placed for the third race in-a-row for in-form handler David Marnane. It was two and a half lengths back to outsider Bonnie Acclamation in third at 16/1. Michael Graham
