No living with dashing Flanagan again Sean Flanagan gave the last winner a dashing ride from the front when scoring aboard Railway Zira at Roscommon on Monday night. The Wexford rider quickly repeated the dose when returning to the Castlerea Road venue to again team up with a Tipperary trainer, on Can't Be Done, all-the-way victor of the opening Follow Us On Facebook Maiden Hurdle. Railway Zira was for Harry Kelly from Fethard, and Billy Treacy, owner and trainer of Can't Be Done also hails from the famous 'horsey' area. Can't Be Done was sent off a well-backed 3/1 joint favourite and though he 'launched' himself at the second when pressed by Jesmond Lodge, he was better at the last. Still Jesmond Lodge gained a narrow lead on the run-in but where it counted Can't Be Done was back up by a neck. "He's a summer horse and he likes that ground. There's no four-year-old hurdle for another five weeks and that's why I ran him again so quick (3rd at Tipperary last Thursday)," commented Treacy. "He's a small horse and I'd like to keep him to four-year-old races." (DM & EM)
