No fuss from Knocknanuss The Mick Winters trained Knocknanuss made all as he ran out an easy winner of the bumper at Killarney, the Meet The Roses (Ladies Riders Pro/Am) INH Flat Race. The five-year-old son of Beneficial won a point-to-point at Killeagh on his debut in January before finishing second to Jack The Wire in bumper at Tipperary in May. Owned by Brian Sweetnam, who also has Rebel Fitz with Winters, he was sent off the 4/6 favourite this evening. Sent straight to the front by Nina Carberry he extended his advantage in the home straight and came home five and a half lengths to the good. Carberry was recording her first winner since early May and she was second on her last seven rides. Peregrine Run (7/2) finished second here under Katie Walsh for Peter Fahey while Its'afreebe was a further four lengths back in fourth under Niamh Fahey for Mark Fahey. Mick Winters said afterwards: "Nina loved him and said he was a very clear winded horse - she said he'll come on for the run. "The ground is as quick as he'd like it and he seems to have learned a lot from the last day. "We'll keep things simple with him and come back here in August for a winners' bumper."
