Ashbury wasn't fluent at the last, Rory's Brother walloped it and Ballybrowney Bird never rose a leg when giving Adrian Heskin a heavy fall in the Schooling At Tipperary Beginners Chase. Well-backed favourite Sox's Girl (2/1 into 13/8) avoided all that trouble to supply Bryan Cooper with a brace following his earlier success on Moon Prince
On a day for doubles at 'the junction,' (Willie Mullins, Ruby Walsh and Mick Winters all on the mark twice too), it's also been a session to remember for the punters thus far as Sox's Girl became the fifth winning 'jolly' in as many races.
The daughter of Dr Massini, a long-standing maiden until today, took over from the back of the final fence on the way to accounting for the aforementioned pair, Ashbury and Rory's Brother by three lengths and four and a half lengths.
Winning trainer Arthur Goulding exclaimed: "She finally got there. She is what she is but she jumps and gallops. She's honest and that's what makes her.
"She wants good ground or faster and when the weather breaks we'll leave her off.
"She might go to Limerick next Monday now for a mares handicap hurdle." (TW & EM)
