Murphy lands a big one with Only Mine It'd been fancied horses all the way at Naas until 16/1 shot Only Mine landed the spoils under Gary Carroll in the Group 3 Bar One Racing Lacken Stakes. Joe Murphy's three-year-old, a daughter of Pour Moi, turned the tables with even money favourite Washington DC on their meeting at Navan from a fortnight back. Always up there in a pace-setting role, Only Mine asserted from over a furlong out. She kept on strongly in the final furlong to beat the patiently ridden Washington DC by two and three parts of a length. On the mark for the first time since January, Murphy said: "It was no surprise to me, and I always believed she was a Group filly. The little ease in the ground helped her a lot, and she worked very well during the week. She's a very genuine filly. "She may run in the Ballyogan Stakes at the Curragh on Saturday. The way she looked after the race she could run again tomorrow. She will probably go to France later in the year, and the Prix Maurice de Gheest is a race that could suit her." J.A. Heffernan, rider of Waterloo Bridge, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount lugged right in the closing stages. M.Halford, trainer of Al Qahwa, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge never let himself down on the ground (AM & EM)
