John Murphy has his horses back operating at the peak of their powers and Rosin Box emphasised the point when landing the Celtic Steps Handicap at Killarney.
Now a dual winner over the mile here, Rosin Box was looking good from some way out under Shane Foley.
The New Approach filly ultimately led a furlong and a half out before going on to see off Cash In Mind by a length and a half.
Well-backed favourite Atlas (11/4 into 2/1) had to settle for fourth.
Murphy explained afterwards: "We've had a very quiet season as the horses were coughing. They have come right and I'd like to thank all my owners and great staff for their patience.
"The conditions suited her and she won here before. Shane gave her a good ride, and we'll see what the handicapper does to her."
The Stewards requested a report from John Joseph Murphy, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Rosin Box, placed first, as compared with its recent form.
The trainer reported that his charge was trapped on the inner in Galway on its last start and unable to get a run.
Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
