Mulvany's Wichita gets over the Line Mick Mulvany is enjoying his best season todate and the trainer landed the Jumps Racing Returns October 5th Handicap (div 2) at Gowran today with maiden Wichita Line, who scored under jockey Killian Leonard. The daughter of Roderic O'Connor had previously failed in 10 attempts but today scored a length success over runner-up Villa Maria. Mulvany, who has held a license since 2006, is enjoying by far his best season and having comfortably beaten 2007's seven winners tally, today moved to the 16 winner mark. Afterwards Mulvany said “the heavy ground made the difference. She is a half-sister to Dew Line and she grew a leg in soft ground. This one will probably win her share of races in those type of conditions. “Hopefully it's onwards and upwards from now.” Quotes from Alan Magee
