Only four lined up for the concluding Rockview (Q.R.) Flat Race with Gormanstown Cuckoo and Thebridgeoftoome being withdrawn, but despite the lack of quantity we definitely appeared to have got quality as Up Ou That strode to an impressive sixteen length win to complete a treble for Willie Mullins following on from Arvika Ligeonniere and Scotsirish
Up Ou That was second favourite behind fellow point-to-point scorer Romanesco Up Ou That scored in a 'point' at Punchestown for Trevor Horgan when the likely winner, Perfect Smile departed at the second last. He of course has subsequently won on the track for Noel Meade.
Romanesco, an easy victor at Ballindenisk, made the running under Nina Carberry, but he had no answer whatsoever to Up Ou That who quickened up like a good horse from a furlong and a half out.
Mullins was obviously pleased, saying: "At least this fellow looks like a proper bumper horse. I think he'll be better on better ground. He has just disappointed me at home and I think it was just the heavy ground after all the bad weather we've been having.
"I'm looking forward to big improvement from him in the spring. I'd imagine I won't run him again until Cheltenham. My bumper horses are not as forward, I'd usually have a heap of them coming out in the next few weeks. Trevor thought a bit of him when he had him."
