Champion trainer Willie Mullins continued in flying form when Stone And Roses ran out a convincing winner of the handicap chase at Punchestown.
Brian Hayes produced the 10/1 shot to take over form long-time leader Twilight Girl before the last in the three-mile-one contest.
He stayed on strongly on the run-in to post a comprehensive eight length success.
There was a tight finish for the runner-up spot with Screaming Colours staying on to take second near the line. Stones And Roses was bouncing back to form to record his first success since taking his beginners chase at Cork in November 2019.
Mullins said:- “He’s owned by the singer Paddy Reilly and his son Ciaran.
“He’s improving and is a real old fashioned staying chaser. Extended trips are what he likes and he jumps for fun.
“He’ll probably come back here for the Grand National Trial.
“I’m delighted to give Brian a winner. He’s an integral part of our yard for schooling and riding work.”
