Willie Mullins doesn't consider himself a front-runner to receive Sunday's impressive point-to-point winner Jonbon, a brother to the Champion Trainer's top class Douvan, who today sold for 570,000Gbp at Goffs UK November Sale at Yorton Farm in England.

Jonbon, a €140,000 3yo purchase, was an easy winner of a 4YO Maiden Dromahane point-to-point for trainer Ellmarie Holden last Sunday and was today bought by JP McManus for a record price for a point-to-pointer sold in public.

Speaking at Clonmel today, Mullins reported "I wouldn't think we'll get Jonbon.

“I don't know who'll get him although I would have thought Nicky (Henderson) could get him, being bought in England with VAT and everything - he would be very expensive to bring back here.”

Regarding Douvan, who was last seen in public winning today's Clonmel Oil Chase in 2019, Mullins added "Douvan is in pre-training at the moment and I don't have him back in the yard yet. We'll look at him again before Christmas."
