Loupgarou gained a last gasp success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel to get off the mark at the tenth time of asking.
The Jack Kennedy-ridden grey may have made a slight mistake at the last but that didn't stop Jessica Harrington's charge from getting there in time to touch off Mr Picotee by a head.
Loupgarou was winning here on his first run since down the field when favourite over the course in December.
Post race normal then when beaten out of sight, the six-year-old turned up here in much better shape on the quicker ground off his 161 day break.
Diarmuid Horgan owns Loupgarou and the gelding is a half-brother to a reasonably promising type in the Gigginstown House Stud-owned and Joseph O'Brien-trained Young Turk.
Mrs Harrington of course fired in a treble at Punchestown last evening.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Double Speak trained by Mrs D.A.Love, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have sustained a small over reach on his left fore, but was otherwise post race normal.
