Mr Duffy from the Dessie Hughes yard put in good performance when winning the Drogheda Handicap Hurdle carrying top weight in the hands of Roger Loughran for owner Kevin McNulty.
Winning connections had a few anxious moments after the winner and Visit Wexford got a bit close at the second last but the Stewards made no alteration to the judge’s placings.
“It’s great he won after being out for so long, he’s been plagued with injury but he’s stayed sound this time”, said a thrilled Hughes.
“He wants good ground and we’ll try pick up something similar for him but he’s a real chaser in the making.”
