Moyglare next up for classy Trethias Trethias comfortably got the better of market rival Pink Dogwood in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden. The Jessica Harrington trained victor was a big eye-catcher on debut at Gowran earlier this month, finishing a never nearer fourth after losing a considerable amount of ground when slow away from the stalls. Sent off a 5/2 chance this evening, the daughter of Invincible Spirit broke much better and raced in mid-division under Colm O'Donoghue in the colours of Stonethorn Stud Farms Limited. She took closer order on the outer with over two furlongs left to race, and led a furlong and a half from home, keeping on strongly from there to score by two and three parts of a length. The 11/10 favourite (from 6/4) Pink Dogwood finished second under Donnacha O'Brien for his father Aidan, while newcomer Singer (16/1) was an eye-catching third, another length and a quarter back. Kate Harrington, daughter of the winning trainer, said: "We've always thought a lot of her and gave her all the time she needed. She's in the Moyglare and that's where she will go now. "She had a lovely run the first day, and we let the race bring her along as she's a little bit hot - a typical Invincible Spirit. "Paddy Hayes led her up and he deserves a special mention as she's a tricky filly and he’s done an amazing job on her. She wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for him, and he's had a lot of patience with her." Additional reporting by Alan Magee
