In-form Barry Cash conjured up a great winning surge out of Mr Shankly to land the www.thetote.com Handicap Hurdle at Limerick.
Success mightn't have looked likely for much of the journey as Mr Shankly raced towards the rear.
Declan Lavery, fourth in the 'boys race' on Make Your Mark at Cheltenham yesterday, looked like he'd prevail over the final two flights on Slaney Conflict
However he was claimed on the run-in by Cheltenham cross-country hero, Cash, riding Mr Shankly for Willie Murphy. The margin between the pair at the line was three and a quarter lengths. (EM & TW)
