Montana Slim defied top weight, under Keith Clarke, to win the Brown Lad Handicap Hurdle at Naas today, justifying his trainer Michael O'Hare's decision to keep the gelding hurdling.
The son of Accordion raced prominently, before eventually getting his head in front close home, for a three parts of a length win over College Daisy
O'Hare later briefly mentioned “we were going to go chasing with Montana Slim but we'll stay hurdling with him for now – he loves that soft ground.”
