Lough Mist sprang a 20/1 shock in the opening five-furlong handicap at Navan for trainer Tracey Collins.
Pat Shanahan had his mount to the fore throughout and she pulled clear in the closing stages to score by three-and-a-half lengths from Cosmic Breeze
"She's back to her two-year-old form thank god. She just wasn't in love with racing last year," revealed Collins.
"She had started to show a bit more sparkle and we came here just hoping she'd put her best foot forward.
"The ground was a concern. She hates it really but we had to take a chance with her.
"What we do next depends on her - she's very tricky. She has got two ways of going."
