Mirador strikes for Enright Mirador Del Conde stuck on well in the closing stages to land the spoils in the handicap chase at Tipperary. Philip Enright let his mount take closer order at the fourth last in the 2m4f contest and he hit the front turning for home. The Robert Tyner-trained gelding kicked on before the last and stayed on strongly on the run to the line to record a four-and-a-half length success over Ard Agus Fada. The winner had attracted some support this morning, from 12/1 into 6/1, and was eventually sent off a 9/1 shot on course. The Flemensfirth gelding was making his first start since finishing mid-division at Navan in March. "We'll go for more of the same with him again and find another handicap. Hopefully we can find another nice race like that" said Tyner. "It was a very moderate race he was fourth in at Leopardstown (last Christmas) and he is what he is. "Hopefully he'll win more races and he might go back hurdling at some stage. "The ground was loose and he just got away with it." 2/1 favourite Rudi Trucker made a bad blunder at the first and never jumped or travelled afterwards, eventually being pulled up.
