Might And Mercy defied a drift in the market to land the DundalkStadium.com Handicap for Colin Keane and Noel Meade.

The four-year-old filly, who opened her account also over seven furlongs at Cork last summer, made good headway to challenge over a furlong out.

The easy-to-back 8/1 shot kept on well under the champion jockey to beat Free Solo by a neck, with Benavente a length and quarter back in third.

Meade said, “She's a nice filly. She is a little bit quirky when she gets there, she parks a little bit. She has loads of ability and she has a great cruising speed.

"We were sort of thinking maybe she would go a mile, but I think seven is probably far enough. Colin was even saying you could maybe go back to six. She is bred quick on the dad's side.

"She was an incredible price."
