Meyler brings up double on Mrs Mac Veale Mrs Mac Veale (12/1) reeled in Buster Dan Dan and stayed on strongly to pick up a nice pot for Gavin Dower in the Grade C handicap hurdle at Naas. Buster Dan Dan was on good terms with himself as he raced at the head of affairs. He soon moved clear of Miley Shah who in turn had plenty of daylight on the remainder. The leader looked to have everyone else in trouble as he set sail for home coming into the straight. However, Mrs Mac Veale began to wind up her challenge after the second last and cut right into the lead coming to the last. She powered away from a weakening Buster Dan Dan (7/1) on the run-in as he dropped to third. Roll It Out, the 9/2 favourite, kept on nicely to take second without troubling the winner. There was a length and three parts between them at the line. Owner Paddy Corkery, from Cappoquin, said: "It was a cracking ride. The biggest thing about the mare is that she's a half-sister to Carrigmoorna Rock, Carrigmorna King and Shantou Flyer. It's very good breeding. "Gavin warned him not to move a muscle until he jumped the second last and we knew she would finish well. "She's been off for a while and is only after coming back so we're happy. It's a lovely pot to win and she has over 100,000 euro now in prize money. "She'll probably only run until the end of the year and then she'll be covered. She won't be running in 2016." Donagh Meyler said: "She travelled. They were going so fast in front turning in (that) I was confident I was going to get there. She jumped well. The boys had her right." This gave Meyler a double on the card as he landed the preceding race on All You Need. Mrs Mac Veale won 19,500 euro in this race. Additional reporting by Gary Carson
