Waterford rider David Cullinane (17) completed a 66 1/2 /1 double sparked off aboard Rainbow Victor (14/1) for his boss Frances Crowley in the 2m6f maiden hurdle.
Cullinane later deputised for champion Barry Geraghty, who felt unwell, to complete his brace and his 3rd career success when scoring on Tisrabraq
in the 2m4f handicap hurdle.
'I think the 2m4f suited him that bit better today and I suppose we'll have to aim him at Galway,' said trainer Frances Crowley.
Aerleon Pete (2/1-5/2f), bidding for a hat-trick, proved a big disappointment for the J.P. McManus/Christy Roche alliance when trailing in last of 14 in the 2m4f handicap hurdle.
Favourite backers also suffered a blow in the 2m6f maiden hurdle when Young Whack (5/4-6/4f) was later reported to be in respiratory distress after finishing 5th.
Earlier, Roche and McManus completed a cross-channel double when Hardiman and Brian Murphy went on before the half-way stage to run his rivals ragged in the Tara Hurdle.
Gallito Castao (5/4-11/10f), owned by Dublin bookmaker Justin Carthy, justified favouritism under Kevin Manning in the opening 5f maiden.
' He'll be aimed for the #200,000 Tattersalls Breeders Stakes at the Curragh in August and I might take a chance and get him group placed beforehand,' said trainer Eddie Lynam of the his 3,200 gns purchase.
Eddie Ahern, who had a mixed afternoon at Haydock on Saturday when scoring on One Won One and then picking up a four-day ban, teamed up with The Rort to narrowly land the 1m maiden.
The winner was bought by Brian Grassick at Newmarket last year for 40,000 gns
and his brother Michael said ' He met with a setback 3 weeks ago when he pulled a muscle in his quarter but he's a nice type of horse.'
Pat Martin was full of praise for rider Jason Behan after the Dubliner partnered Irina (12/1) to win the EBF Fillies Handicap from market leader Cakestown Lady.
'Jason deserves a lot of credit as she's a hyper old thing at home and he has done a good job in switching her off. She'll head to the Curragh on Derby Day
for the 1m handicap but she needs a cut.'
Barry Jones (18) from Downpatrick recorded his first victory in the saddle when scoring on Charlie Swan's 10/1 chance Conzara in the concluding bumper.
