Second in the Dante Stakes at York and third in the Irish 2000 Guineas on his previous two starts, Jim Bolger's charge was sent off the 5-4 favourite on this step back up to a mile and a quarter.

Johnny Murtagh cruised up to the lead in the TRM Invest In Calphormin Handicap on the Willie Mullins-trained Levanto (3-1 favourite), but she didn't do much in front and held off Zarkiyr by a diminishing short head.
Declan McDonogh struck twice, for Eddie Lynam on Regal Power (10-1) in the TRM Excellence In Equine Nutrition Handicap and on easy winner Dabadiyan (9-10 favourite) for Mick Halford in the TRM Supporting Global Champions Maiden.
