Marques dreaming of Royal Ascot with Buyin Buyin Buyin quickened up in fine style to run out a impressive winner of the opening two-year-old maiden at Dundalk this afternoon. Willie Browne's charge was held up in mid-division in the five furlong contest before being asked to take closer order on the inner by Manoel Marques passing the two pole. The 14/1 shot was in front passing the furlong marker and pulled away in the closing stages to post a three length success over Lightening Army. When it was put to the winning jockey, who was in the colours of his wife Leidiana, that the Bungle Inthejungle colt had shown a lovely turn of foot he said:- “Yes that's right, I think this is a good horse and I hope he is going to be a Royal Ascot horse. "He's a big horse and he needs time to get fit - he is probably 80 or 90 per cent fit. There is more to come, please God. "He is very green, you can see in the straight he looked to the white rail and he moved around a little bit. I got a good spot inside and drove him on." (Quotes by Michael Graham)
