As big as 28/1 this morning before being supported into around 9/2 before racing, Ishan landed a gamble in the concluding three-mile handicap.
Eventually sent off 6/1, Phillip Enright's mount crept into contention travelling well from three out and led before the last. Killinure Lass looked a threat at that point but got the last wrong whereas the winner was big and bold at it and galloped away to score by two and a quarter lengths with the front two nicely clear of the remainder.
By the Network horse Voiladenuo, the successful five-year-old had been unplaced in seven previous outings over hurdles.
It was a third winner on successive days for Enright and brought his tally to 25 for the campaign.
Winning trainer Sam Curling said: “He had a good enough run in Tramore but he got stuck in the ground in Limerick, Philip said he just never went a yard.
“He's been coming along the whole time. That was a bad race I'd imagine.
“He's a grand horse and he'll jump a fence too in time. He was ready to run in a point-to-point but we thought he probably wasn't quite up to a four-year-old point-to-point so we said we'd go hurdling with him.
“He's taken a bit of time to come but he's coming now. We'll find something similar, he's no world beater.”
