Kevin Manning pounced on the finishing line on board Priomhbhean to collar Joseph O'Brien and 6/4 favourite Don Carlos by a short head in the one mile two furlong race.
It looked like O'Brien would repel all challengers but Manning conjured a finish from the Galileo filly. O'Brien had put up two pounds overweight on his Galileo colt.
The winner was returned at 7/1. Northgate completed the places a neck back in third.
