Manning and Bolger complete Curragh double Trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning completed a double this afternoon when taking the concluding Stephen Craine Lifetime Achievement In Racing Maiden. Manning came with his challenge over a furlong out and the Trans Island filly responded well to a strong drive to get up and lead close home for a three parts of a length win over Obama Rule. Winning trainer Bolger said afterwards: “We had her almost ready at the backend of the season and she looked a proper horse but then she got sore shins.” “It took her ages to get over it. We had her ready a couple of times but she got a cough, mucus, stone bruise just little problems.” “Today was the first time we had a clear run with her and you can expect plenty of improvement from her.” “She’s very versatile with regard to trip and she has plenty of toe.”
