Make Me Sway responds well to Byrne's urgings Make Me Sway used the far rail to good effect when winning the apprentice handicap in the Curragh under Willie Byrne. The three-year-old filly, on handicap debut, had plenty to do over a quarter of a mile from home. Byrne was seen working hard on her and she really picked up well with over a furlong to race. She thundered home to collar Athlumney Hall in the final 100 yards to score by a length and quarter at 14/1 for Jim Bolger. Athlumney Hall had to settle for second at 14/1. He was a neck in front of Mother Vincent (20/1). Backers of Miracles In Way (20/1) got an each-way dividend in fourth. This was 19-year-old Byrne's seventh career success.
