Magical Vision s Navan maiden win got a form boost when the runner-up Cavallo Pazzo landed the opening maiden on the Naas card and Aidan Howard's mare made it two wins from three starts in the Awardsandgifts.ie Handicap.

Shane Foley 's mount travelled strongly in mid-division and came through to lead inside the final furlong. She kept on well to hold fast-finishing Jon Riggens who didn't get a clear run until late in the day, by half a length.

“I was delighted to win a maiden with her the last day but I actually thought she'd improve a lot,” said Howard.

“Today she had to battle and she did it nicely. I was delighted to see the winner of the first race.

“We like her and we'll give her a little break now and hope to get her out good and early next season, get a bit of soft ground.

“She has to have a little bit of an ease in the ground, she's a Dragon Pulse. She's a great oul spin and she has loads of gears.”
