Amateur jockey Aaron Madden made a winning racecourse debut at Ballinrobe today, partnering Bless N’Ject (11/2) to provide Champion Trainer Willie Mullins with the third leg of a treble, in the concluding ballinroberacecourse.ie Bumper this evening.
Madden, whose only pervious experience of race-riding was when falling on his only point to point ride, raced the son of Luso throughout, helping the gelding stretch clear of Alhellal inside the final furlong for a two lengths win.
Madden, who turned twenty three last Saturday, is from Kildare Town and works for Mullins. The trainer, earlier successful with Rattan and Killultagh Queen was not present at the meeting.
