Macho Mover wins for a 2nd time at Tramore Macho Mover pleased trainer Eoin Doyle’s many local supporters when successful in the Tramore Medical Clinic Handicap Hurdle. Ryan Treacy’s mount was an easy-to-back 8/1 chance and he was better at the last than Duhallow Paddy before going on to register a two and three parts of a length win. “During the summer he wasn’t travelling but since he’s come back to winter ground he’s travelling a lot better on it," said Doyle. “The last day at Cork he didn’t grab hold of the bridle early on but he flew home. He’s after winning three now and been second so he’s a good servant for the yard. “He’s two ways of running but he’s back in a rich vein of form at the moment. We’ll probably throw him into a better handicap with a lower weight and see how we go. “It’s great to get a winner on the first day of the year. The horses have been running well, a lot of placed horses and it’s great to get a winner here today.” (AM & EM)
