Shane Lyons believes Sakti is the one to beat, as she lines-up in the Group 3 Weld Park Stakes at the Curragh this afternoon.
An encouraging second to the re-opposing Brilliant on debut at Leopardstown, the Caravaggio bay again filled the runner-up spot when chasing home Vespertillo in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes over the course and distance last month.
She now bids to make the breakthrough on her third start, with impressive Leopardstown winner Caught U Looking the Ballydoyle pair of Content and Brilliant, along with Joseph O'Brien's Dollerina all among the opposition.
Assistant trainer to his brother Ger, Lyons said at Dundalk on Friday: "She would rather have that (slow ground) than quick. If the weather comes in on Sunday, she will be going into unknown territory but so will they all.
"She has been very good and is a fine, big filly. We can't wait until next year - she looks like a three-year-old and when she fills out during the winter, we can't wait.
"We have to take our chance the way the race has cut up. She finished second in the Group 2 Debutante so she has that in the bag.
"I'd say they would have her to beat."
