Trainer Gery Lyons completed a double at Laytown today, completing the brace of winners in the concluding Hibernia Steel QR Race with Dunne Grand under Andrew Duff.
The daughter of Grand Slam made most of the running and stretched clear inside the final furlong for a four and a half lengths win over Academic Accolade
Afterwards Lyons stated “I’m delighted for Andrew as he is working for me for six years and nothing is too much trouble with him and is an excellent worker. Dunne Grand is just a handicapper but it is great to win with her and she’ll run next at Dundalk.”
