The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden provided a thrilling finish with 7/2 shot Riobamba from the Eddie Lynam stable getting up on the line to win by a short head under Gary Carroll making it a double on the day for the jockey.
Winning trainer Lynam stated afterwards, “It just goes to show you how old we’re getting as Gary’s Dad Raymond Carroll rode my first ever winner.”
“She is a lovely filly with a good pedigree and it was nice to get a win out of her.”
