Separate Ways was thrown out, by the Stewards, of the Guinness Time Handicap at Galway today in following an Enquiry into interference inside the final furlong, in a race awarded to Luttrell Lady
Separate Ways led, on the wide outside, entering the straight, but edged left inside the final furlong, forcing Luttrell Lady’s (which finished a fast finishing half length second) jockey Joseph O’Brien to briefly ‘snatch up’ his mount. The Stewards, who were satisfied Spearate Ways had caused sufficient interference to improve his position, subsequently amended the result following an Enquiry.
Luttrell Lady’s trainer Pat O’Donnell was not immediately present for comment.
