The Michael Bowe trained Lucy Stone who was returned as 9/2 joint favourite justified support after she landed the Greville Arms Hotel Handicap Hurdle.
Doyle hit front aboard the Sonus filly three from home and the pair forged clear from the last to record a four length win over Something Grand
A delighted Bowe said afterwards: "She's a great little mare to come here and carry topweight for the size of her. She's very genuine."
"I'm glad to see Tom [Doyle] drop her in that really helped and the ground was nice and safe."
"She's not too big so we'll try not weigh her down too much and hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard."
