Trainer Tom Cooper has a very high opinion of his Lucky William following the gelding's easy win in the Kerry Group Bumper at Listowel today.
Ridden by Mikey O'Connor raced prominently throughout and eventually stretched clear of his rivals inside the final furlong for a five lengths win over Vertige Dore
Afterwards Cooper revealed “I think Lucky William is an absolute airplane and showed his class there.”
“We brought him to Thurles for a schooling bumper last season and he tried to run out three or four times but came back on the bridle strongly each time. He jumps for fun and has the makings of a serious horse.”
