Loughran back among the winners Roger Loughran got himself off the cold list when getting Schinkel home in a rousing finale to the Ryans Cleaning Event Specialists Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse. Good Fella looked a winner for much of the straight here and the strong-finishing Galant Ferns also looked like she might get there. However Loughran galvanised Schinkel to such effect on the run-in that he ran out a three parts of a length winner. Dessie Hughes trains Schinkel for Jerome Sheehan. Schinkel edged left on the run-in and had to survive a steward's enquiry but in truth he was never going to lose it. (AM & EM)
