Lordan doubles up on Indian Snoozing Indian gained a deserved win when sticking his head out for victory in the seven-furlong handicap at Naas. Thomond O’Mara’s charge has been knocking on the door all season and got his turn today at odds of 10/1. Wayne Lordan drove his mount into contention inside the final furlong and he got on top from Ecoeye in the closing stages to record a head success. “He has had this horse going all year and he’s been very consistent. It was only a matter of which day he was going to get his head in front,” said Lordan. “He battled hard today and put his head down and tried. “We’ve gone a good gallop and I’ve travelled well, then from two down I’ve rode him. He doesn’t kill himself so I knew when I got upsides and got his head in front he’d be hard to pass.” It was a double on the card for Lordan following the earlier win of Childhood.
