Lordan and Lupini team up for Cork double with Talia Following their earlier success with Running Cool, Wayne Lordan and Natalia Lupini were back in the winners' enclosure with Talia after the second division of the Racing Again July 14th Handicap at Cork. The handicap debutant, also making her first start for the yard, belied her lack of experience to run out an easy winner of what beforehand had appeared a competitive race. Well away on the far side, Lordan had the daughter of Zoustar up with the pace throughout before edging to the front over 2f out. Quickly taking a couple of lengths out of her rivals, she extended further clear having the race in safe keeping well before the finish. If anything, the winner may just have idled in front without anything to keep her company. Sondheim eventually emerged from out of the chasing pack to finish second but the Lupini filly had flown at that stage. Craig Bryson, representing the winning trainer, said: "Natalia doesn't have her long, six or seven weeks although we hoped she'd be a wee bit better than this class. Paddy Twomey had bought her as a yearling and everything she has done at home, she has done it well. "She is a nice one to have and I think she will improve. Six or seven furlongs is no problem for her and she travels well." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
