Hatton Cross recorded his second career success as he took the Follow Naas On Facebook Handicap under Wayne Lordan for Thomond O'Mara.
Successful at Limerick last year the six-year-old son of Moss Vale was placed on seven of his fourteen starts since.
Dropped to six furlongs for the first time this season he was sent off at 16/1 (from 20's) and was settled behind the leaders.
He was ridden to challenge with over a furlong to race and he edged to the front inside the final 100 yards, keeping on well from there to score by three parts of a length.
Top-weight Burren View Lady (18/1 this morning from 8's to 7's on-course) finished second under Seamie Heffernan for Denis Hogan while Suburban Sky (14/1) was half a length back in third under Pat Smullen for Harry Rogers.
The front three went three and three parts of a length clear of Tom Dooley (20/1) who completed the placings in fourth under Declan McDonogh for Michael Mulvany.
Jaelika, who won at Listowel last week, was sent off the 10/3 favourite (from 6's last night) and she finished a disappointing thirteenth under Conor Hoban for Mark Fahey.
Wayne Lordan said afterwards: "He's been very consistent all year and it was only a matter of time before he got his head in front."
The winner is owned by Roisin Hickey, wife of Thomond O'Mara who is at the sales in Fairyhouse.
