Limestone Lad will miss entire season.

Michael Bowe yesterday admitted that his attempts to get Limestone Lad back onto a racecourse this season have failed, and the popular gelding will now be rested until next year.

It had been hoped that the popular gelding would make a comeback from the tendon injury he received on his near-fore last April but Michael Bowe, son of trainer John Bowe, reported that the damage had not fully healed yet.

Bowe added 'I had the option of bringing him back at some stage this season, but he takes a lot of work and he is not one of those that you can get fit by working only lightly.'
