Rock On Lilly followed-up on her recent win at Clonmel, as she got the better of A Place Apart in the BRC McMahon Reinforcements Handicap Hurdle.
The Tom Donohue trained seven-year-old was recording her first career success at Powerstown Park, and she was sent off a 7/1 chance to win again today.
Sent straight to the front by Paddy Kennedy, the daughter of Westerner soon went clear. She was pressed and joined by A Place Apart before the second last, however she pulled out more under pressure on the run-in, going on to score by four lengths.
The runner-up, who is only a three-year-old, was returned at 11/2 under Barry Browne for Gavin Cromwell, while Queen Khaleesi (12/1) was another seven and a half lengths back in third, with Sean McDermott aboard for Patrick Neville. Oakfield Rose completed the placings a further eight and a half lengths back in fourth, while the even money favourite Pause And Ponder disappointingly pulled up on what was his debut for Willie Mullins.
Donohue said afterwards: "It makes a big difference being able to dictate from the front and we'll see how she comes out of this now. We'll look for something similar next."
