Life In Colour edged the verdict in a thrilling finish to the six-furlong maiden at the Curragh to gain a deserved win.

The Willie McCreery-trained filly has been third on her previous three outings and went to post a 9/2 shot today in a first time visor.

Rory Cleary had the daughter of Showcasing tucked in behind the leaders before producing her to take a narrow lead over a furlong out.

There was nothing between herself and Daisy Jones in the closing stages and the judge found just a nose in the difference after a photo finish.

“That's grand to get that done, she had a little setback after a nice run in Cork and she's had three nice runs,” said McCreery.

“She loves that ease in the ground. We thought the pace was over this side and Rory did a great job of getting her over.

“The visor just helped the last bit, she's not dishonest though. She minds herself and she looks fantastic every time you see her, she's a big bulky mare.

“She'll come back here for that six furlong listed race (October 8th), we'll try and get a bit of black-type. The softer the ground the better for her.”
